MEDIA I.M.’S SUNNY BUNNIES SET TO PREMIERE IN CANADA

Pre-school sensation sold to DHX Television in English and French with exclusive Licensing Agency deal signed in Latin America

Media I.M. Incorporated Ltd, the London-based content distribution company that specialises in premium animation and family entertainment has broken a new territory for its hit Belarus pre-school animation, Sunny Bunnies, which is now on air in more than 160 other territories.

 

Canadian kids giant DHX Television has picked up the first two seasons of the show, which is set to launch this July on its French and English-language preschool networks, Family Jr. and Télémagino. The deal supports the launch of Sunny Bunnies toys in Canada in Fall 2018. The products have been developed by Funrise Toys, Media IM’s master toys partner for North America, Australia and New Zealand, with toy launch supported by major retailers in the territories.  

 

In South America, both the first and second seasons of the show, totalling 52 x 3.5 mins are headed to Brazil through an exclusive Pay TV deal with GloboSat’s kid’s channel Gloobinho.  Sunny Bunnies is currently available in Brazil via its YouTube channel and on the PlayKids SVOD app both of which are performing well. This success has led to further licensing news with a new exclusive representation deal with Vertical Licensing in Brazil. Under the deal, Vertical, which counts Playstation, Garfield and The Smurfs amongst its brands will represent Sunny Bunnies across all key L&M product categories, aiming to launch toys, book and other products throughout 2019.

DISNEY US AIRING SEASON TWO OF MEDIA I.M.’S SUNNY BUNNIES

Pre-school sensation also sold to UK, Scandinavia, Middle East and Estonia

Media I.M. Incorporated, the London-based content distribution company that specialises in premium animation and family entertainment, has sold the second season of Sunny Bunnies to Disney US — the second landmark deal in two months for the hit Belarus pre-school animation, which is now on air in more than 160 territories.  

Season two of Sunny Bunnies is currently airing in the US and CEEMA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). In the US, Digital Light Studio’s non-dialogue comedy for three- to six-year-olds airs on Disney Junior and Disney Channel and in  the CEEMA region, it will be available on the Disney Channel feed.

CPLG to Beam Sunny Bunnies into Europe

CPLG has been appointed licensing agent for EMEA (excluding France, Turkey and MENA) for children’s CGI comedy Sunny Bunnies, produced by Digital Light Studio in Belarus, and represented by content distributor Media I.M. CPLG will develop the Sunny Bunnies licensing programme across a broad spectrum of categories with an initial focus on toys, apparel, accessories and back-to-school.

Sunny Bunnies is a non-dialogue CGI animation comedy aimed at kids aged 3-6 year olds. Two series consisting of 26 x 3.5 minute episodes have been completed, with a third season in production. Since its debut on Disney Channel in Russia in 2015, the series has been picked up by Disney Junior in the US, EMEA and Japan, Discovery Kids India, TF1 digital in France, Canal Panda in Portugal and broadcast in more than 160 territories in 2017.

MEDIA I.M.’S SUNNY BUNNIES BOUNCE ON TO DISCOVERY KIDS IN INDIA. App and VOD deals also signed with PlayKids and KidsCast.

Media I.M. Incorporated Ltd has signed a landmark deal with Discovery Kids in India for its hit animation Sunny Bunnies.

 Under the three-year deal, which covers the pay-TV, simulcast and catch-up rights, Discovery Kids will air seasons and one and two (52 x 3.5 mins) of Belarus-based Digital Light Studio’s non-dialogue comedy for four- to seven-year-olds from this November. Discovery Kids is the first Indian broadcaster to take Sunny Bunnies, bringing the total number of territories to air the series to more than 160.

In other Sunny Bunnies news, Brazilian SVOD app PlayKids has taken season one of the show. The platform, aimed at children up to the age of eight, is now available in more than 100 countries in several key languages.

In another major SVOD app deal, the UK platform KidsCast has picked up the 1st season of Sunny Bunnies. The entertainment hub for children aged between three and eight offers games, shows, music and educational content in a safe and secure environment.

TF1 LICENSES WINS M&L RIGHTS TO SUNNY BUNNIES -Media I.M. secures first European partner in global licensing push

Media I.M. Incorporated has appointed TF1 Licenses to represent the licensing, merchandising and promotion of its hit pre-school series Sunny Bunnies (52 x 3.5 mins) in France and French-speaking Europe.

 The agreement was brokered by Media IM founders Maria Ufland and Irina Nazarenko, and Daphne de Beauffort of TF1.

The deal includes TF1 Licenses, which is part of the French broadcast group’s commercial operations and one of the leading consumer-product agents in its territory. 

TF1 Licenses will manage the key merchandising and licensing categories for Sunny Bunnies, produced by Belarus-based Digital Light Studio. TF1 has also acquired the AVOD and SVOD rights, enabling it to cross-promote the animated comedy on TF1’s leading children’s catch-up service MY TF1 as well as on the SVOD platform TFOUMAX.

MEDIA IM BOOKS GLOBAL SALES FOR TOP KIDS’ TITLES. Rosa & Dara and Flying Animals take off in Europe and Asia.

Rosa & Dara and Their Great Adventures — an animated adventure fantasy for six- to eight-year-olds, produced by Czech studios Bionaut Animation and Kredenc — has been acquired by public broadcasters RTP in Portugal and YLE in Finland. The 26-minute TV special has also been taken by film distributor Folimage, which has secured the theatrical and DVD rights for France and French-speaking Europe. The playfully educational show, which centres on seven-year-old twins Rosa and Dara, whose mission is to save the world from the exploits of their naughty dog Laiko. 

RTP has also acquired all currently available episodes of Flying Animals (40 x 6:30 mins) — the first international deal for the fantasy comedy series aimed at children aged six to nine. Flying Animals features a country of musical animals who are given wings to reward them for their courage in trying to change their lives for the better. In Russia, Flying Animals currently airs on seven channels and online services, including major children’s nets Carousel and Moolt.

MEDIA I.M. TAPS EVOLUTION FOR SUNNY BUNNIES. Licensing and brand management agency appointed as exclusive partner for North America.

Media I.M. Incorporated Ltd, the London-based content distribution company that specialises in premium animation and family entertainment, has appointed Evolution to represent the North American licensing, merchandising and promotions rights for its Belarus-originated animated show Sunny Bunnies (52 x 3.5 mins), which has now been sold to key broadcasters globally. 

The Disney Junior channel and the Disney channel have both licensed the Sunny Bunnies series, guaranteeing that non-dialogue CGI animation comedy for three to six year-olds will have robust broadcast carriage in the U.S. The first season of Sunny Bunnies has already launched on both channels in the U.S and other regions around the world. In addition the series already has a significant fan following on its YouTube channel with over ninety million views to date.

SUNNY BUNNIES SPRINGS INTO ACTION FOR DISNEY EMEA. Animated kids’ comedy set to air in 156 countries — and counting.

Media I.M. Incorporated Ltd, the London-based content distribution company that specialises in premium animation and family entertainment, has closed another high-profile deal for Sunny Bunnies (26 x 3.5 mins), taking the non-dialogue comedy for four- to seven-year-olds into a total of 156 countries. 

The Walt Disney Company EMEA has now acquired the second season of Digital Light Studio’s Sunny Bunnies, following the lead of its sister channels in the US, South East Asia, CEEMEA (CEE, Middle East, Africa), Russia/CIS, Australia/New Zealand and Japan. This latest Disney deal will see the loveable balls of light bounce on to Disney Junior in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and French-speaking Europe, Spain, Italy and Italian-speaking Europe, the Nordic, Baltic and Benelux territories, Portugal/PALOP, Ireland and Andorra.

SUNNY BUNNIES ACQUIRED BY DISNEY US, CEEMA, SPAIN AND JAPAN. Animated kids’ comedy set to air in over 130 territories.

Disney Junior in the US, Disney CEEMEA (CEE, Middle East, Africa), Disney Spain and Disney Japan have all licensed Sunny Bunnies, guaranteeing that the non-dialogue CGI animation comedy for four- to seven-year-olds will roll out into more than 130 territories in 2017.

MEDIA I.M. SEALS MIPCOM DEALS FOR KIKORIKI AND PIN-CODE one of Russia’s most successful animation series now sold into over 50  territories.

Media I.M., the London-based distribution company that specialises in premium animation and family entertainment, has closed a string of deals for two of its most popular children’s animation series — Kikoriki New Adventures and Pin-Code.   

Under a five-year deal, Discovery Italia has acquired the rights to a further 26 x 11 mins of Kikoriki New Adventures for its free-to-air Frisbee channel. Discovery Italia premiered the first 26 x 11 mins series of the hit animation, which has now been sold into 30 territories, earlier this year. Petersburg Animation Studio’s flagship brand about the spherical inhabitants of the world of Kikoriki launched in 2003 and has gone on to become one of the most successful projects in the history of Russian animation and L&M.
